What airport do I fly into?

Answer

Port Canaveral is located about 45 minutes east of Orlando, Florida. Orlando is the best airport to fly into. There are also other airports in driving distance. Jacksonsville, FL is about 2.5 hours north and West Palm Beach, FL is about 2.5 hours south.

How do I get to Port Canaveral from Orlando airport?

Answer

You can take an uber/lyft which cost us about 65 dollars last time. We have also rented a car from budget and returned it in the morning for under a 100 as well. Budget does offer a shuttle direct to the port after dropping the car off.

Where do I stay if I fly in the night before?

Answer

First, it is best for you to fly in the night before. We reserved a block of rooms at the Country Inn and Suites in Port Canaveral for 2/28/25. Please see booking info tab for instructions. There are plenty of other hotels near the port and Orlando offers numerous hotel options. It is also spring break this week at a lot of colleges in Florida (we were not aware due to not living there). Please keep that in mind. The port is not far from cocoa beach so an Airbnb is also an option and can save money if you travel with others.
