Question

How do cabin reservations/ assignments work?

Answer

Once everyone RSVPs, we will assign people who indicated interest in staying at camp to a cabin with other people they know. The majority of cabins sleep 8 adults in twin beds, with only the bottom bunk occupied as well as two shared bathrooms per cabin. There are limited private cabins with double beds and en suite bathrooms that accommodate two adults. If you are interested in staying at camp but prefer a more private option please indicate that on your RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate everyone's preferences. There are also multiple hotels within ~15 minutes that can be found under the travel tab.

Question

How many people can camp accommodate?

Answer

Technically, 500 campers! That said there is ample room for everyone invited to stay at camp, and sleep in bottom bunks only to limit any hazards.

Question

What is included in the weekend fee and how do I pay that?

Answer

A wedding weekend fee of $200 per person includes accommodations for the entire weekend, all of your meals from Friday night through Sunday breakfast, alcohol and activities, and transportation from the Asheville Airport, if needed. There is a google link on the travel tab to submit your travel details to coordinate airport transportation. Payments will be collected at camp check-in, via cash or check made out to Camp Highlander, or guests can Venmo Emily and she will write a check to camp on your behalf.

Question

If I stay off site at a hotel, do I still need to pay the weekend camp fee?

While we hope most folks will stay at camp we understand if you are more comfortable in other accommodations. For those staying off site the wedding fee will be waived and you are welcome to join all activities/events! Transportation will not be provided to off site accommodations so please plan accordingly.

Question

If I stay off site is there transportation?

Answer

We will not be providing transportation off property, however there is Lyft, Uber, and Taxis in the area as well as ample parking at camp should you want to drive. There will also be a bus to drive folks to the ceremony which is on camp property but ~ 1/2 mile from the cabins.
