Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Black-Tie Optional Please note that cocktail hour will be outside on grass. The reception will be in a pavilion with wood floors, but open sides (unless raining or very windy). Ladies - you may want to consider bringing a pashmina or wrap to wear at night if you get chilly easily (though hopefully you'll keep warm with all the dancing we'll be doing!).

Question

Transportation

Answer

Transportation can be tricky on the North Fork and should be planned in advance! Guests can either drive themselves or reserve a cab or private car ahead of time. Uber and Lyft can be unreliable on the North Fork, it may be difficult to find a cab on the day of the event, and you would have a long pick up time at the end of the night if not planned in advance. For guests who drive themselves to the ceremony, they have the option of using the time between the ceremony and cocktail hour (3 to 5 pm) as they please and will have an easy way to get home at the end of the ceremony. For guests who arrived at the ceremony by cab, we will have a 44-passenger bus taking guests to Greenport Harbor Brewery between the ceremony and cocktail hour leaving at 4:40 pm from the brewery. At the end of the night, the same bus will take guests who want to go to bars in Greenport. Guests wanting to go home directly from Bedell are encouraged to arrange pick up in advance.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There is! For those who will be driving, valet service will be happy to park your car for you.

Question

Testing & Vaccinations

Answer

All guests are encouraged to have a negative COVID test within 72 hours prior to the event OR have been fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior to the event. New York state does not require quarantine or proof of a negative COVID test or vaccination to enter the state. These rules may change and we will keep you updated with any changes.

Question

Masks

Answer

Currently, masks will not be required at the wedding venue. However, we do recommend having a mask on hand, as they may be required at the church, hotels or during travel to and from the venue.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This will be an adults only reception (18 and older). The only children will be immediate family members.
