We would be overjoyed to show you some of our favorite hikes around Aspen. Consider checking out the Ute trail (part or all the way up Aspen mountain), Hunter Creek, Cathedral Lake or American Lake. A fun, easier option is to take the gondola to the top of Aspen Mountain and enjoy the view / hike around at the top, then download back into town on the gondola. The Maroon Bells are a must see - this requires a parks fee to access the maroon bells wilderness, but is stunning and worth the hassle. An easy hike from maroon lake is heading up to crater lake.
Biking around the Roaring Fork Valley is a great way to explore the area! For adventurous riders or if you rent an e-bike, we suggest biking up to the maroon bells (free access to bike riders) or Ashcroft. Another fun bike ride is along the Rio Grande trail, which stretches from Glenwood to Aspen.
Rafting is always a fun activity when visiting the mountains. We recommend Blazing Adventures, but there are several rafting outfitters that all do a great job!
