People often think that Jimmy and I knew each other in high school because our hometowns are only 30 minutes apart. That's not the case! We met November of 2022. I was home from Chiropractic school and was going to hangout with my friend, Shannon and her boyfriend, Jeff. Jimmy walked into the Pour Corner bar in Avon, SD and locked eyes with me. I immediately asked Shannon who that was. The night continued and both Jimmy and myself ended up in Tyndall for the annual fish races. I came up with the idea to make a bet with Jimmy that Shannon could swallow one of the live goldfish. For the record, Shannon most definitely could not but Jimmy stepped up to the challenge, poured some beer over the gold fish and swallowed it! Which must have impressed me because the rest is history. The next morning after Jimmy's "fish supper", I told my mom that I met the boy I'm going to marry someday. I made many trips home from Minneapolis after that weekend to see Jimmy. Our love grew quickly and we welcomed our son, Rennick James. Everyday, we fall more in love with each other and our little family.
