Corina and Kyle first met at a coworker's holiday party in 2018. At the time, Corina had just started working at Fred Meyer as she finished up her student teaching year. Throughout the night of the party, they talked and got to know each other a little. This is where Corina learned that Kyle also worked at Fred Meyer, but in a different department. Afterward, they slowly started talking at work, then started dating in February of 2019. On their four-year anniversary, Kyle had the day plan to go on a hike to Abiqua Falls. When they arrived at the fall, it was so peaceful. They were the only two there. Corina was trying to set up her phone so they could take a picture with the fall in the background. Kyle told Corina to stand over by the fall, and he will make sure they are in the frame for the photo. Later, Corina found out he actually took a video. As Kyle was walking over, he pointed towards the water and said "look there’s a turtle." Confused, Corina turned to look, but saw nothing. In the midst of her turning back to him saying "there's no turtle", Kyle was down on one knee. Both were overwhelmed with joy, unable to speak in the moment after. It was the perfect setting for them, as they both love the outdoors and have gone on many hikes together. We're so excited for you to join us as we say "I do" at our wedding, See you soon!
