On a chilly January evening, after a few glasses of wine with friends, Cassidy was persuaded to try a dating app. She came across Andrew's profile, and something made her look a bit longer than usual. Aside from physical attraction, seeing that he was previous kindergarten teacher, loved dogs, and outdoorsy was a huge plus. Then she got to his last photo - the notorious Inspector Gadget costume he wore for his class when he was teaching, complete with the trench coat, the hat with the helicopter handles, and a ginormous smile. "Alright, THAT is awesome. He seems fun, let's see how it goes." She swiped right. After her super creative pickup line of "Hi ☺️" they were hitting it off, so Andrew suggested playing a game of questions. "There are a few things in life that are REALLY important, so if we're both being honest, we should get it all out of the way early, right?" Andrew said. She was game. "There are only 2 rules," he suggested, "your answer has to be either one thing OR the other, you can't say both or add new answers. Also, you can't ask the same question back to me until at least 24 hours have passed. Got it?" "Oh, he's totally done this before, " she thought. Slightly skeptical, she responded, "Hmm, alright. Let's go!" Andrew's first line of questioning was obviously very important… "Waffles or pancakes? Dogs or Cats? Baseball or Football?" She laughed as she quickly responded, "Belgian waffles. Dogs. Football. Next?!" The lighthearted questioning was so fun and different, it kept them talking daily for nearly 2 straight weeks – all via text message – before ever meeting each other in person. Their first date was at Andrew's local watering hole, The Black Dog Pub. After realizing that no one was getting catfished - they talked and laughed for 4 straight hours! The rest is history.
