WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!!



We met in NYC during Optometry school in 2011. At the end of our first year in 2012, we went on our first date to Starbucks Cafe. Actually, we ended up just studying for exams! After that, we hit it off and started eating at different NYC restaurants, going to Yankee games, and making it official at 230 Fifth NYC rooftop bar. We then took it reaallllll slowwww. Fast forward and it was graduation day. We both became doctors of optometry May 2015. Tyler began working right out of school and I took a much needed 6 months off! As we both started our new careers, Tyler moved to Miami and I moved to Raleigh. However, that didn’t keep us apart. We maintained a long distance relationship for 5 years after school. Then, on February 22, 2020, we went to eat at Mulino’s Italian restaurant here in Raleigh. After we ate, Tyler got down on his knee and finally proposed! (It only took 8 years!!) However, we did not expect a global pandemic to happen just 1 month later. Despite living through a pandemic, our first year as an engaged couple has been amazing and we can not wait to share our big day with all of you on June 5, 2021!
