We were both invited to go rock climbing with the same group of friends. It was my first time ever climbing outdoors, but Kole had been doing it for years. Kole was belaying me on the hardest climb I had done at that point, and he refused to let me off the wall until I had made it to the top. We quickly became friends, then started dating a year later!

Kole texted me a few nights before he proposed inviting me on a picnic up the canyon. We drove for what seemed like hours up Provo Canyon until he finally found the spot he was looking for. He told me we were going to hike out into the meadow, find a good picnic spot, then return to the car to get our picnic supplies. I told him that was a very inefficient use of time, but I went along with it. As we walked out into the meadow, I saw a picnic perfectly set up! He knelt down on one knee and I said yes! His brother Bryson and our friend Nathan then jumped out from behind a hill and cheered for us! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Provo!
