Story from Savannah’s pov: I was at Lucky’s with some friends from work, we had just had one of our regular customers pass away suddenly. We were all there drinking a beer that he always drank in his honor. Justin approached our table to talk to one of my friends that he used to work with. He seemed like a funny guy but I didn’t really talk to him much. Later on when he was leaving the bar he came back over on his way out and asked me for my number. I told him I didn’t give out my number to people but he could add me on Snapchat if he wanted. We talked everyday since then. Turns out he was good friends with my little brother back in middle school so we hung out a few times after that. We ended up having a lot in common and have been inseparable since. Two peas in a pod!! 💕
Story from Justin’s pov: So I honestly stole the spotlight from my mom because I planned it on my mother’s engagement pictures. I had to plan it then because Savannah pays very well to the smallest detail and would have figured it out. We went to Hanging rock state park and I was super nervous obviously but when we arrived and started taking pictures everything started going haywire. First off it was supposed to be 80 something degrees but the weather decided to be in the lower 40’s. Then there was nowhere to change Bentley into the onesie I got him but thankfully mom and George came to the rescue for that one. The family then got split up because the trail wasn’t as easy as we thought so Memaw and Yari stayed back from the waterfall. At the end of the day I finally got to the point of popping the question. I asked Erin to do the pictures and I was handed Bentley with the onesie that read “Daddy has a question…” I got on one knee and held out the ring anxious but excited. She turned around like instructed to do and then she threw me off guard by asking and continuously asking why are you on your knees. She literally thought I had fell, completely disregarded me holding a ring and Bentley’s onesie. Finally I jus asked her to marry me because my whole speech had jus vanished from my head by then and of course she said yes! We all end up laughing about how the whole thing didn’t go as planned now.
