Jacob and Savannah met on an online christian dating platform called Upward on Sunday January 9th 2022. Savannah’s sister helped/made her make a profile. After scrolling through so many uninteresting guys Addie said, “Ooo how about this guy” and proceeded to show a picture of a cute Australian shepherd. Savannah said, “that’s a cute dog but can I at least see a picture of the guy before you swipe right?”. After seeing his picture she responded, “oh he’s pretty cute and Addie then swiped right. Later that day Savannah received a match notification. As they talked there was an immediate connection. A few days later they went on their first date. Jacob surprised Savannah with Topgolf, which was slightly embarrassing for both of them considering neither knew how to play, but it was a great ice breaker. Two days later Savannah left town for a month with her bosses. While Savannah was gone Jacob and Her both had many deep conversations about their past experiences and core values. They talked about their love for Jesus and what they wanted from a partner. They talked almost every day while Savannah was gone. Their relationship started to blossom during this time as they found more and more in common. Once Savannah returned it was a little awkward. They had only been on one date and were long distance for a whole month. After that adjusting period, many more deep conversations and dates both of them began to realize they were beginning to fall for one another. It was at this point in their journey Jacob and Savannah decided to be boyfriend and Girlfriend. Throughout the next couple months they sought the Lord for guidance on their relationship and kept growing closer and closer together. There we so many different adventures and fun times throughout that season. Savannah's sister Addie also started dating someone from Upward and the four of them went on lots of double dates and adventures together. They all felt so blessed to be in the same season of life together. As the months flew by and a year of dating drew near they started talking more seriously about marriage and building a life together. On Sunday January 22nd 2023 Jacob proposed to Savannah on the balcony of Club 33 in Disneyland. Savannah happily said yes and here we are today.
