Fredericksburg, despite its' wild growth in recent years, still has the charm of a small German community. Take a stroll down Main Street and visit all the local shops and restaurants. You can walk with your beer and wine too!
The National Museum of the Pacific War is located in Fredericksburg, the boyhood home of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz. Nimitz served as commander in chief, United States Pacific Fleet, and was soon afterward named commander in chief, Pacific Ocean Areas, during World War II. It's an absolutely incredible exhibit and definitely worth checking out during your stay!
If you're up for a big hike, head out to Enchanted Rock! A dramatic 425-ft. pink granite monolith that's great for getting out in nature and seeing the beauty of the Texas Hill Country.
Luckenbach Texas, where "Everybody's Somebody", was established as a trading post in 1849. Made famous by Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, and Waylon Jennings, Luckenbach Texas reflects an eclectic mix of its early history, the larger than life persona of Hondo Crouch and an unrivaled legacy of great music that makes everyone "Somebody" in Luckenbach. Now a great place to visit, sit back under the old 500-year-old oak trees, relax and listen to live music. Luckenbach Texas is home to a historic dance hall still in use every weekend, live music daily, a General Store and a bar.
Did you know there was an elephant sanctuary in the Texas Hill Country? Well, now you do! Visit The Preserve for a hands-on elephant experience while at the same time supporting a wonderful animal rescue. Book in advance!

Another one of our favorite wineries is Signor Vineyards! Situated along the Hwy 290 Wine Trail, the tranquil 200-acre estate is an essential stop. They specialize in Hearty Reds and Crisp Whites sourced from Texas and Oregon.
Not a wine drinker? No problem. Go grab a pint at this enormous brewery featuring European beers and great bar food.

An absolutely incredible fusion restaurant of Texas BBQ and Korean cuisine makes this place one of our favorites. Lance brings his Central Texas Style Barbecue with a mesquite smoke twist; slow smoking only prime meats on offset smokers. Not to be outdone, Boo’s Korean heritage inspired menu items that give the taste of the East mixed in with the Texas goodness served at Eaker Barbecue.
