Our Engagement Story

AUG. 12th, 2022 I was told simply to dress up if I wanted to, and bring my cameras. Anthony drove us down Lake Shore Drive, then exited near the Belmont Harbor. I just watched in amazement and confusion as he walked up to the locked gates of the boat docks, and punched in a code to open the door. He walked out onto the docks and I started giggling in awe. Turns out, he had chartered the sailboat, Nebula, to take us out on the lake and around the shoreline downtown. I had never been on a sailboat before, and Anthony knows how much I love to be out on the water. It was a dream. We sailed on Lake Michigan and I took photos of the city from an angle I had never seen before. The sun was setting, the buildings were glowing, and the water was sparkling when he told me to turn around. There he was, on one knee, holding out his great grandmother's ring. My first instinct was to capture this view on camera! And then to say YES.
For all the days along the way
