A dream come true

Matthew and I started our journey January of 2015. We both had joined Match.com to venture outside of our comfort zone and expand our search in hopes of finding a significant other. Well, that did happen for Matthew and I. Matthew did not initially message me back right away. He was not having very good luck on the site nor was I. We both went on one date prior to meeting each other which were complete disasters. I had a one week free trial and I swore to myself I was not going to pay for this. Next thing I know I got a message back from Matthew. This is where the journey began.... Matthew decided to message me back in Target's parking lot. He was reluctant at first because of the terrible experience on his prior date. Once he did, we talked for hours each day before deciding it was time to meet. Our first date was at Starbucks in Cuyahoga Falls. Getting to that Starbucks was a task for me. Anyone who knows me knows I am not good with directions. I called Matthew that night to get directions because, of course, I was lost. This was the first time we had ever spoken on the phone so hearing his "accent" was a little different than what I was expecting. However, I helped both of our bundle of nerves due to my inability with finding a location even with a GPS on. HAHAHA. We both got out of our cars at Starbucks and Matthew's first words to me were " you are shorter than I thought you would be". Not the first words I was expecting but that was fine with me. We decided to keep the date simple including the attire, we met in hoodies and jeans. We did not see the point in being someone we were not. Starbucks was a public place just in case this was another date gone wrong or in Matthew's words "you could be an ax murder" haha. We hit it off great and the wedding bells will be ringing May 23, 2020. We are so grateful we took the leap and went out of our comfort zones joining Match. Now we will begin the next journey of our lives together.
