In October of 2021, we met at a ballroom dance class in Pensacola. Joshua saw Saskia and thought, "She probably doesn't speak English..." After his friend tells him that he is going to make a move, Joshua steals the girl with his handsome smile and smooth dance moves. At the beginning, Joshua would always come to dance after basketball and would be sweaty and a bit smelly. But Saskia quickly fell in love with Joshua after they became partners for recital. By April, Joshua had swept Saskia off her feet (literally) and soon asked for her number. After a week went by of Joshua telling himself he was crazy, he finally texted Saskia. By the end of the summer they started dating!

Although Joshua convinced Saskia that he would not be coming that weekend for her hall formal, he had actually been planning this weekend for over a month! Saskia's friends arranged for a nail appointment and a photoshoot out in the forest "just for fun". Joshua had flew in that morning at midnight and found the perfect place in the woods to surprise her. In the middle of the photoshoot, Joshua comes up behind Saskia and pops the question! The moment was full of surprise and joy and anticipation for the future.
