We’re getting married!

Sasha and I often joke about that Chris Brown song that goes, “who says you can’t find love in the club”, because that’s were it all began for us. It was a night like any other, people laughing and swaying on the dance floor, music blasting, drinks flowing. That last part is particulary important in our story because at the time, I was under the legal drinking age. So here I am, hanging with my friends, having a pretty good time, when unexpectedly, the most mesmerizing person I’ve ever seen walks through the door. As cliché as it sounds, everyone else in the room dissapeared. Our eyes locked. She smiled at me and I couldn’t help but give her a shy smile back. The night took a turn when, a little later on, in the middle of the dance floor, a friend of a friend thought it would be “cool” to make me chug a beer. Pretty romantic plot twist right? Well, I motioned for this rude person to quit already, but it was too late. In seconds, the bouncer had noticed both dos equis- the one being shoved in my face, and the giant ones written in permanent marker on the back of my hands. I tried to explain but it was no use. I was done for. Luckily, the girl I had noticed earlier saw what was happening. She came to my rescue as the bouncer was directing me to the police officers that were always standing right outside this club. The girl knew the bouncer (surprise, surprise) and told him that I was with her. She apologized to him and said that she’d make sure I got home safely. She grabbed my hand and walked with me outside. I couldn’t help but blush. From that night forth, Sasha would forever be my Knight in Shining Armor. We were both young at the time but over the years, our friendship turned into that special kind of love. I wasn’t sure I’d get more than one crazy night with her at some club, but here we are, seven years later, getting ready to exchange our vows and looking forward to spending forever with each other.
