We got Married!

Dear family and friends, We hope you are well and staying healthy during these uncertain times. Though the pandemic has put many things on hold, we just couldn’t wait to say ‘I do’ —so we made it official, and got married! Our ceremony took place on December 6th, 2020 in Verona Park near our home in New Jersey, with only our mothers present. We had our friend (and realtor) Caroline Mescia officiate, as she was a big part of us finding our dream home, and was also present when we got engaged. Though absent of many friends and family, our ceremony was beautiful, and very sacred. While we wish we could have celebrated this special day with all of you, we did not want to put a large group at risk. Though it was a difficult decision to make, we feel it was the right choice for us at this time. But don’t worry, there will be a party in the future to commemorate our union, and you will be there! One year prior to the wedding, on December 6th, 2019, we got engaged on the front steps of our new home in West Orange, New Jersey. Our mothers, Harriet Cohen and Joan Malcolm were present, along with realtor and friend, Caroline Mescia. It was an exciting day of two big life changes!

We met at a local bar in Brooklyn; spent hours talking, laughing, and sharing life stories. We ended the night dancing under a disco ball at a Soul Train themed party...except we were the only people dancing! The next day we met for dinner, and the rest was history. We both knew pretty early on in our relationship, that we had met "the one".
