SarahRose and Jay met at Marple Newtown High School, a football player and a cheerleader, who would have guessed? When a buddy introduced the two at a party they instantly became great friends. Fast forward 11 years later, through High School, College and many West Chester parties, to the Summer of 2015. The two were moving all around for work, Jay finding himself back in PA and SarahRose moving off to NY, when one night that summer at Havertown Barnaby's, Jay finally decided to ask SarahRose out. A few weeks later the two met in Manhattan for appetizers, drinks, and lots of catching up. Since that night in New York, many dates, adventures, and 6 months of long distance dating later, life together has been filled with lots of moving, changes, ups, downs, but always with immense amounts of happiness and love. We could not be more excited to celebrate the next step in our journey with each of you, who have played, and will continue to play, such an important part in our adventure!

While vacationing with Jay's family in Avalon NJ, Jay brought SarahRose over to Cape May for a date night dinner. The two dined rather quickly, SarahRose assuming Jay was more interested in drinking beers with his brothers back at the Princeton, at the Blue Pig Tavern in the historic Cape May Congress Hall. Little did she know the rush was because Jay had a very big question to ask her that evening. After finishing dinner, Jay led SarahRose down the front path towards the gardens, where he then dropped to one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. All of their family and friends were waiting back in Avalon to celebrate. It was the perfect place, perfect time, and perfect atmosphere. The beach is SarahRose's and was her fathers favorite place. Jay knew he would get a "YES", while proposing with the cool ocean breeze blowing, the sound of the waves in the background, and her fathers presence all around them.
