What is the wedding attire?

Answer

We're pretty casual so cocktail attire will be just fine. Of course, if you feel so inclined, you can also wear a Halloween costume/fancy dress...

Where do you recommend we stay?

Answer

The wedding venue is in North Sonoma County, near the town of Cloverdale. There aren't a lot of accommodations immediately nearby so we recommend either staying in Healdsburg or Cloverdale. We have a hotel block at the Best Western Dry Creek Inn in Healdsburg and you're welcome to book there. There are also AirBnBs all around. Depending on where guests are staying, we plan to have shuttles picking up from Healdsburg Square, the Best Western, and the Healdsburg and Cloverdale Park and Rides.

How do I get to the wedding venue if I'm not taking the shuttles?

Answer

We will be providing shuttles from Healdsburg and Cloverdale to the wedding venue but if you decide to drive yourself, there is plenty of parking at Mountain House Estate. Please plug "Mountain House Estate" into your GPS. From Healdsburg, go North on Hwy 101 and take Exit 522 to Hwy 128 West. Follow Hwy 128 for 8 miles where you’ll see large signs for Mountain House Estate on the left.

I haven't worn heels in a while, is there anything I should know about the terrain?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at the top of a hill (fairly steep gravel path that's about a 7-8 min walk). We will have some special shuttles escorting those who do not want to walk the hill before and after the ceremony. For those who feel up to it, you may want to wear or bring a pair of shoes that you feel comfortable walking up a gravel path. The rest of the venue site is flat, indoors, paved or on grass!

What will the weather be like? Should I dress warmly?

Answer

On average, the weather at Mountain House in October sees high 70s and low 50s in the evening. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will be outdoors. There will be an indoor reception area with seating open all evening if you get too chilly. As we always say, dress in layers!
