Billy and Sarah met by chance in the fall of 2013. She was celebrating Halloween with her kickball team (dressed as the Pink Power Ranger, of course) and he was working behind the bar in The Swerve. It was Game 6 of the World Series, and the Cardinals were losing to the Red Sox. (Spoiler alert - the Cards lost.) He commiserated with her over Budweiser and Jameson, and they each went home at the end of the night. Fast forward 6 months, and they run into each other again at the Times (although this time on the patio, not in The Swerve). After she left her friends and he got off work, he took her to see the monuments of DC by moonlight. The rest, as they say, is history!

It was a random Tuesday in July 2017. They had both had long days at work, and Sarah was ready to order a pizza for dinner. On a whim (or so Sarah thought), Billy suggested they take Max (their killer attack beagle) to Old Town, Alexandria, and eat at a restaurant on the water. Once in Old Town, Billy insisted they walk around for a while to "let Max burn off some steam." After walking for a bit, they came to a stop at a small overlook by the water. It was there that Billy got down on one knee, and Sarah instantly burst into tears!
