wedding party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

CarriMarcolini

Maid of Honor

When people ask how long we have been friends, they are usually surprised when we respond. We always answer simultaneously, and in the same tone of voice, "27 years." When we were kids, we made up an acronym that we are BFFAEAEAEAEITU, but Carri has always been more like my sister than a friend. Words can't describe how thankful I am to have her in my life and how much I cherish our friendship. We have truly grown up together, laughing and making the best memories along the way. From ballet slippers to cheer shoes and now wedding heels, I can't imagine having anyone else by my side when I say "I do."

RogerDupont

Best Man

Growing up, Roger and I always fought. Usually, that's a pretty typical thing for brothers. As we grew up, I found myself always trying to follow in his footsteps. I joined the soccer team (a sport I hate) half the season in, because I was jealous he was playing and I wasn't. Then came, baseball, football, surfing, food, and most importantly, beer. I started drinking craft beer because of him. UsualIy not for the taste, I just found out it could get you buzzed faster than a Coors. I didn't know it at the time, but as we grew older, I could see that he was one of my role models and best friends. Now he's probably the funniest person I know and can cook a mean pizza.

ShanonDerzinski

Bridesmaid

They always say you find your people in college, and I can honestly say that's true. Shanon and I lived right across the hall from each other in our dorm at JMU, and we met on day one of orientation. We became fast friends bonding over our mutual hatred of an 8 a.m. Biology course. Our friendship grew as we ate buffalo mash and peanut butter pie at D-Hall, gave blood and (almost) passed out, and had to ask our roommates if Shanon and I could have sleepovers in our twin-sized beds. We learned how to navigate college and life together. We lived together Junior and Senior year in Copper Beech and had the best times, making so many memories. Shanon is one of my very best friends, and I know we will always be bonded for life.

MikeBorges

Co-Best Man

My best friend and non-biological brother, this kid and I would hangout all day long then sit in his truck in my driveway for another couple of hours just listening to music and hanging out. Mike and I met in the 6th grade. We would do everything together. I knew things were getting serious when he walked into my house and opened up the fridge to get a drink without asking for permission. Growing up, my parents always called him their adopted child. Mike is someone I've always looked up to even though he's 5'4"... 5'6" with Tims on.

AshtonBanglesdorf

Bridesmaid

Freshman year on Bid Day at JMU, I bumped into Ashton, my friend from middle and high school. A quick conversation of "Wow hi" and "Do you see my name?" led to the best friendship. Over the next 4 years, we attended every sorority event together, and I am forever thankful Ashty convinced me to be her roommate in the AST house sophomore year. After all the nagging, I decided to live with her for another two years. Our first and last disagreement was over hot chocolate...."a smidge" is not a Keurig setting, but from there on out, we were inseparable. We bonded over our love for Duke's snack wraps, tailgating at JMU football games, blasting Jonas Brothers on our late night drives through campus, forced cuddle sessions followed by forced study sessions, and binge watching Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill. I will always be so thankful for my Ashtykins!

JarrittStencil

Groomsman

Stencil and I met when I first joined the Navy. We served as Guardsmen together in Washington, DC. In DC we had a very tight group of guys. One of our favorite things to do in DC, was go to Murphys Irish Pub and listen to Irish music. Flash forward a year and Stencil and I both ended up getting orders to Washington State. Stencil currently serves on the USS Nimitz but when he's not deployed we still spend time together; mainly eating, drinking, and playing games. Stencil has traveled all over the world. When you see him, just remember, you are in the presence of a certified fork lift operator.

MorganStemple

Bridesmaid

Morgan and I became friends through our parents when I was about nine years old. Even though she is two years older than I am, we have always been on the same page, well except for that one time we got into a peanut butter food fight at OBX. For years I always looked forward to the summer, so I could hang out with my older, cooler friend Morgan. Then, we were finally in high school together. Our favorite activity was riding around in her Pontiac Vibe blasting music until our ears rang for the rest of the night. After all these years, we might not know how to accurately measure pasta, but we have always kept it real with each other and have only ever been a phone call away for a much needed vent session. So excited to have Morgan be a part of my big day!

ZacSchumann

Groomsman

Zac is a good ole boy from Texas. We met during training in Washington State and joked around the entire time. After finding out Zac had a wife, Diana, we introduced our significant others over dinner and have been best friends ever since. We love being outdoors, building fires, grilling, guns, and Ol Glory flying. The four of us have gone on tons of adventures together all up and down the coast of WA and OR. When you seem him at the wedding give him a nice hollar, but be carful, Zac will talk for hours about how the Texas stars at night are always big and bright.

AndreaDupont

Bridesmaid

Andrea is Tresley's younger sister and my soon-to-be sister-in-law. She is the life of every party and our Snapchat group chat cracks me up daily. While her job takes her away pretty often, I am always excited to see her and spend time together. When we are together, we try to remember not to gang up on Tresley too badly and that too much red wine stains your teeth for the rest of the night. But most importantly, spilled wine is wasted wine. I am so happy to have Andrea by my side when I say "I do," and we become sisters!

BrianEanes

Groomsman

I love me some Brian. This guy made me feel right at home when I first met him. I feel like the first time we met, it was like we knew each other for a long time. We bonded over our love for this great country, history, and being Republicans. We have a great time being together, usually filled with sitting around and goofing off. We've talked about going to Boston's Freedom Trail and to Philadelphia to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Those trips haven't happened yet, but I'm sure they will. Since Sarah and I moved out to Washington state, I guess before all those other trips happen, he needs to fly out here so we can catch us a Bigfoot.

AlexaHouk

Bridesmaid

Alexa is my sister-in-law, and I truly couldn't be happier. Not only does she push me to my limit during her HyLo classes, but also she lifts me up and is always there if I need anything. When Robbie and Alexa moved to Charleston, we grew closer over our love for Finley, boat rides, fitness and donuts, always taking napportunities, and binge watching reality TV. After planning four rescheduled weddings herself, she has helped me so much and has kept my head level while planning our big day. I'm so grateful to have her by my side!

RobbieHouk

Groomsman

Robbie is Sarah's older brother. I've got to be honest, I was nervous when I first met him. Robbie and Sarah have an amazing relationship. Robbie calls Sarah almost everyday at the same time, and they catch up. Usually when I call my sister, I'm greeted with a "what do you want?" Robbie is an officer in the Coast Guard, so when I first met him, I didn't know whether to salute him, give him a handshake, or ask for a letter of recommendation. He's a great guy to hangout with, and I enjoy going to visit him and his wife, Alexa, in Charleston. I'm excited to join the Houk family, and I know he'll make a great brother-in-law.
