Question

Do overnight guests pay a site fee for staying overnight at the campground?

Answer

There is no fee for overnight guests ... relax and enjoy the weekend! All we ask is that you are respectful of the natural setting, the venue facilities, and each other. REMEMBER! Cabins are first come, first serve - there is a limited amount. So please book with Sarah ASAP (sschneid23@gmail.com). We can't wait to spend this mini-vacation with you!

Question

I don't have a tent, but I want to stay for the weekend. What are my options?

Answer

Cabins are first come, first serve. There will likely be extra bunk bed sleeping spaces available - two of the cabins have 7 bunkbeds (each). You will have friendly neighbors :) Please contact Sarah with any questions/concerns about weekend accommodations at sschneid23@gmail.com

Question

What is the departure time for overnight guests?

Answer

All guests must leave, with their campsites/cabins cleaned, no later than 10:30AM on Sunday. We will be charged if we leave past the check out time, so please plan accordingly! Thank you!

Question

What supplies should overnight guests bring?

Answer

We recommend bringing a change of clothes/shoes, bathing suit, toiletries, pillow, sleeping bag or blanket & sheets, water bottle, flashlight, and insect repellent. Instruments and games are also welcome and encouraged! If you plan on tubing in the river, please bring your own tube! Additionally, the wedding's after party & Saturday day/night is BYOB (also, bring some snacks to enjoy!) TENT CAMPING: Please bring your own tent (plus any camping supplies you wish to have) and lawn chairs! CABIN CAMPING: Please bring Queen size linens for the beds. (These are very limited and will be assigned on a case by case basis - please reach out to Sarah for more information at sschneid23@gmail.com)

Question

Should overnight guests bring their own alcohol for the weekend?

Answer

BYOB for the after party/weekend. But, please utilize the open bar we are providing during the cocktail hour and reception.

Question

Should overnight guests bring food for the weekend?

Answer

There will be plenty of food served Friday evening! For Saturday morning, we will have a light breakfast for everyone who spends the night & will likely roast hot dogs and do cold salads/chips for lunch Saturday. Please bring CASH to pitch in for a pizza dinner Saturday night! You are encouraged to bring snacks & drinks for yourself (and your kiddos) for the weekend as well. If you have dietary restrictions/preference, we recommend you bring food/snacks that you prefer. We also STRONGLY encourage you to bring a refillable bottle or other container for water.

Question

Are there bathrooms for overnight guests?

Answer

Yes, there are shared indoor restrooms (think bathroom facilities at a campground style) with electricity, running water, and hot showers. Individual bathrooms in the main lodge will also be available for overnight guests (these are sink/toilet only).

Question

Is there electricity?

Answer

Yes, all buildings, cabins, and the covered pavilion have electricity and power outlets. There is no heat/AC in the cabins, but a fan will be provided in each of them & they all have large windows than can be opened for an additional cross breeze at night!

Question

Can I bring a date or friend?

Answer

Due to capacity constraints and other limitations, we request that you not bring a date or friend to the wedding itself. We are okay with you bringing your guest to the after party as well as for all-day fun Saturday!! We have rented the venue for the weekend (Friday evening through Sunday morning). Please reach out to Sarah with any further questions at sschneid23@gmail.com

Question

Are children allowed? What about dogs?

Answer

The only children invited at this time are those of parents who are staying the weekend with us! No dogs are allowed on site. Sorry!

Question

What is appropriate attire?

Answer

We are recommending Semi-formal/Cocktail attire (Ladies - think cocktail dress, summer dresses or dressy jumpsuits / Guys - jacket, slacks). We want you to feel cool and comfortable during our outdoor/summer ceremony & indoor reception. The ceremony is outside in a wooded clearing, so ladies - be mindful of this when choosing footwear. The camping/after-party is casual (there are places indoors to change clothes).

Question

Is there a rain plan?

Answer

Yes! In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved under the pavilion (or inside the Lodge). Please consider bringing an umbrella. Additionally, please consider your footwear carefully! There is a paved road that leads from the parking lot to the Lodge and the covered Pavillion, however, the walkway is uncovered! Please plan accordingly.

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

As you enter the property, you will drive under a sign that says "Camp Hidden Valley". Continue down the long drive way and you will end at a large parking lot (to your left hand side at the end of the road). Please park here. No cars are allowed on the property past this point. For those of you who may be staying the night in a camper - this is also the area you will be parking and setting up your camper. (So please arrive early if you wish to ensure you have the space you need and for setting up camp!).

Question

How far do I have to walk to get to the Ceremony?

Answer

After you park, you will walk on site and down the paved road. You will see a large open field to your left and the Grand Lodge to your right. Please continue down the paved road just past the Lodge, and you will see a sign for the ceremony to the right.

Question

The ceremony is outside. What if I need to use the bathroom before the reception?

Answer

You will be allowed to enter the Grand Lodge for bathroom access only. There are two bathroom stalls located inside the Lodge (in the doors and all the way down on your right - there will be a small sign on each door). Please ask our coordinator or a friend/family member of the Bride or Groom if you need any help locating the bathroom.
