We met when we were just teenagers working a summer job at the infamous Circle B Chuckwagon in the Black Hills. Over two summers of late-night Walmart runs, water fights at work, and thousands of hours washing dishes together, we formed an incredibly fun and deep friendship! Sooner or later the biscuit bandit and the pony ride girl were destined to fall in love. Richey joined the Marine Corps in 2013 and I stayed in South Dakota for college and work. For nine years (23,197 miles apart total!), we stayed in touch, exchanged hilarious memes, and saw each other as often as the distance and military allowed. Our favorite show, New Girl, kept us connected and laughing together all the time. We had no idea we were so much like Nick Miller and Jess Day and their inevitable love story! In 2021, we finally started dating long-distance while Richey was living in Washington D.C. Richey separated from the military in September of 2022 and moved to Rapid City. On October 26th, 2022, he proposed at one of our favorite spots in the hills to which I responded "SHUT UP!" (YES!). We are in awe of, and so grateful for the way the Lord kept our lives intertwined for so many years and brought us together in the way that He did! We are ecstatic to begin our life together in marriage and can't wait to celebrate with you!
