Jason and I met at Lakota East High School in the sports medicine training room. We are two years a part, but we were always running into each other in the training room and school events. After Jason graduated, we went on few dates we made it official in July of 2012.

Jason surprised me with a trip to Nashville for my birthday and we planned it for later that December over a long weekend. We had many of our closest friends come along to join us to celebrate what I thought was my birthday. While everyone there knew about the proposal, I truly had no idea! Saturday afternoon we made it downtown and decided to walk to the river (I was a little reluctant-I wanted to stay at the bars-HA). We walked to the riverfront and our friends were telling me that Jason wanted to take a picture, so I needed to find a good spot. That NEVER happens, Jason never offers to take pictures, so I was excited and still oblivious! While posing for some pictures, I asked Jason why his heart was beating so fast and next thing I know the love of my life got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We were surrounded by people so near and dear to our hearts, it was a moment we will always cherish. What a journey we have been on together and I cannot wait to marry this man!
