We met in the hot summer of 2015 at Whisler's in East Austin. Both of us transplants from the Northwest, we quickly found that we had many things in common and even had some mutual acquaintances back home. In the months that followed, we went on several quintessential "first dates" and eventually became inseparable. Over the years we've created a life together - filled with friends who we consider family, careers that we enjoy, and a house in East Austin that truly feels like home. We also enjoy traveling to visit our friends and families who are scattered all over the country. Our engagement story: Every year on our anniversary, we try to re-create one of our first dates. In 2019 (4th anniversary) we decided to go to Peter Pan Mini Golf. It played out much like every other year until Sarah found a ring in the 18th hole. A surprise engagement party followed at Shady Grove. We're were thrilled to invite all of our loved ones to gather in the neighborhood where we first met to celebrate our marriage. Unfortunately, due to the current public health emergency, we decided to cancel the wedding in order to keep everyone safe. We look forward to celebrating with everyone as soon as it is safe to do so.
