We met at a gap year discipleship program called Joshua, which is nestled in the Sequoia National Forest at Hume Lake. I remember the first time meeting Hunter turning to my roommate and saying that he was cute. Within the first week, I told all the girls I had a crush on him and he told all the boys that he liked me. We really didn’t get to know each other at all until after the program was over. We started dating a month after it ended, and have been together for over 3 years now!
I knew he had the ring for a bit of time but had no idea when or where it would happen, but knew that both of us wanted it to be just us and intimate. He had taken the day off for us to hang out so we headed down to San Clemente to go walking down my favorite trail. We stopped by one our favorite coffee shops and spent some time shopping and talking in San Clemente before the trail. Then when we get there, Hunter wants to go the non-paved way, so we start exploring and then he starts recording and sets his phone on a rock. I was shocked and didn’t see it coming at all! It was such a sweet moment with just us two and we came back to my house to have dinner with both of our families. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Long Beach!
