We are so excited to celebrate with you!

We met at a high school Student Council lock-in in August 2012. It was past midnight and everyone was watching inspirational videos in the library. Sara turned to the random guy next to her and made a joke about him looking like the guy on the projector screen. He laughed and she didn't think much of it and assumed she would never see him again. Less than 2 weeks later, school started and Sara and Tanner sat right next to each other in Spanish 3. We started dating in January 2013 and have been inseparable ever since! :)

We bought a house in November 2019. Sara came up with endless renovation ideas and it took Tanner months to convince her to stop coming up with new renovation ideas. We decided to host a housewarming party which would have been the weekend that the United States started to close down due to the pandemic. Tanner's original plan was to propose at the housewarming party. He planned to gather us and all the grandparents and then play a video with pictures and different memories of the two of us throughout our relationship. However, we did not want to risk the health and safety of our friends and family, so we decided to cancel the housewarming party. On the day that would have been the housewarming party, we had both of our parents and siblings over for dinner to celebrate. Tanner played the video that he spent hours creating and then got down on one knee and Sara said yes!!
