Sara is the most amazing person I’ve ever met. She is kind hearted, beautiful, faithful, intelligent and the list goes on. She was born it Montreal but her family seems to be connected to everywhere: Italy, India, Africa, the States- you name it! She is a world traveller, is full of adventure and like any good Canadian, she loves hockey! She is an amazing and creative writer. In the midsts of graduate school and working full-time she has a huge faith and is always up to find the time to go out of her way for the service of others. She is undoubtably my best friend and the love of my life. -John Paul

God made me wait a long time for John Paul, but I'm glad He did because I've never met anyone so perfectly made for me. We share the same values and visions for our future, he makes me laugh constantly, knows how to pick me up when the world gets me down, and - most importantly - makes me feel loved, beautiful, supported, and wanted every day. He has a good heart and continually puts the needs of others before his own. He is the love of my life, and I can't wait to spend forever with him! -Sara

Sister of the Bride Alyssa’s the brilliant little sister that always makes you feel inadequate, but we share the same reference-based sense of humor and her quirks are always a great target for big-sister pranks and jokes. Our relationship started off rocky when she lost my favorite teddy bear at the age of one and stole my king-sized Hersey’s bar I had saved from Halloween at the age of three, but she’s redeemed herself since then. She’s the best dog-aunt a pup could ask for and always ready to help out no matter what my requests may be. So happy to have you by my side, sister! -Sara

Best Man
Groom’s Best Friend Chris and I met working with Cenacolo in Florida and a few years later we ended up going together to work in the Mission in Liberia. Chris has always been a great friend and he has helped me through some of the more challenging times and decisions I’ve gone through in my life. He really lives his faith to the fullest and is a great example. Chris is going to bring scally caps and vests back in style. -John Paul

Bride's Best Friend We’ve continually tried to pin down the exact moment we became best friends but have always just reached the conclusion that it somehow happened overnight. Katie’s been my confidante, my never-ending support, and my ride or die for the last five (or six?) years. After however she showed up in my life, I’m glad she never left! -Sara

Groom’s Best Friend I met Kevin through the community in Florida and he has been a great friend ever since. We both moved to Charlotte together a little over a year ago after I returned from Africa and he returned from Costa Rica. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to make that transition with. Kevin has been a true friend and is always there to set me straight when I need advice. He was my wingman when I met Sara and has been supportive ever since. Sara and I are so grateful for his support and for his family’s support. On a side note, I wouldn’t trust anyone else to cut my hair for the wedding. -John Paul

Groom’s Sister Maria is my loving big sister who has always been there for me. If it wasn’t for her watching out for me in High School and getting me to class every morning, I’m not sure where I’d be today. Maria is so creative and is a DIY champion. She is so supportive I am grateful for her help with creating material for fundraising for the missions. She works in graphic design and Sara and I love getting to see her when she comes for work conferences in Charlotte. -John Paul

Groom’s Brother Luke is the older of my two brothers and is preparing for his senior year of High School. He loves art and hopes to go to school for industrial design. I was so happy to be Luke’s sponsor for Confirmation this past year and appreciate his openness to the faith. I can always go to Luke for a good laugh or to find out what new music came out from our favorite artists. -John Paul

Groom’s Sister Lucia is my wonderful little sister and I am so grateful to have her as a friend. She works in graphic design in Raleigh and is one of the smartest people I know. She is so full of joy and whenever we hang out I always have fun learning some new game or watching some super scary movies. -John Paul

Groom’s Brother Leo is my youngest brother but he has grown up so fast! He is going into his sophomore year of High School and is a wiz with all things mechanical. I was also Leo Pio’s Confirmation sponsor and I am always amazed at Leo’s world perspective. I love to have some good deep discussions with him or to just talk about what’s going on with our favorite teams and players. -John Paul

Groom’s Sister Helena is my youngest sister and has been a great support to me during my time in the Community and while I was doing Mission work. She is getting ready to graduate from NC State University with a major in Education. She has such a huge heart and shares a deep sense of the importance serving those who have less and treating every person with dignity. I was so proud of her when I heard she would be traveling to the Missions in Peru. I love to play music with her and I think we should probably give America’s Got Talent a try next time. -John Paul

Bride's Best Friend Matt and I have been best friends since we took a trip to Target in our freshman year of university (Target just brings people together that way). He’s the king of bad puns and has been my horror movie/video game/hockey buddy for every day of the past eight years. He really loves math, but I can forgive him for that. -Sara
