On April 16th, 2022, Antwan planned the most romantic proposal and surprise Engagement Party with our close friends & family. It's a day we'll both remember for the rest of our lives.

How We Met

Her Version

Antwan and I initially met on Bumble January of 2020, but it fizzled out. I decided I was going to go into isolation from dating and cut literally everyone off. After my Matron of Honor, Sylvia encouraged me to write a letter to God with all the qualities I was looking for in my husband, Twan and I reconnected less than 2 weeks later (June of 2020 on Instagram), and he matched my list to the "T"! (Honestly, I was trying to recruit him for the business, but clearly he recruited me lol.) I knew he was my husband because in our very first conversation, he told me he was "dating to meet his wife". He was intentional with his words and actions from day 1. I remember him asking if he could FaceTime me, then asking if he could take me on a date. I was impressed because my previous dating pool had never been so intentional. On our first date we went to a wine bar at the Battery in Atlanta. We literally were the last ones in the restaurant because our conversation was so fluid. From that day on, I was sold! But I didn't want to let him know that. (You can never show all your cards lol). But after he went on a guys trip to New Orleans to visit a friend, he came back and officially asked me to be his girlfriend. We were joined at the hip after that. He has been the most selfless, kindhearted, family oriented guy I'd ever met. He showed himself even more reliable when I lost my dad 5 months after we started dating. The hardest time of my life, he stood by my side and encouraged me when I didn't have the strength to encourage myself. He is a true partner, a best friend, and a forever love. When he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him April 16th, 2022, it was a very obvious ABSOLUTELY from me. God truly broke the mold with Antwan, and I cannot wait to take this journey together as husband and wife. <3

How We Met

His Version:

We initially met on a dating app called Bumble in January where the women are supposed to initiate the conversation once you match. We started talking (small talk) but it fizzled out and I didn't hear anything from her for almost 6 months, aka she "Ghosted Me". Until she randomly came back and "slid into my DM's". We hit it off with a great conversation but one of the biggest things that stood out to me was that she was on sabbatical due to her pointless dating life. I understood her because my dating life was pointless and wanted something more out of it. I was dating to meet my wife! That was exactly what she wanted, someone that wanted to date with "intentions". I saw that as an opportunity to ask her on a date and we met at CRU Wine Bar at the braves stadium. We stayed there until the restaurant closed and could not pull away from the conversation. I could not get enough of her after that day. I wanted her to be around for everything and I wanted to be around everything she had going on. She really became my best friend. I never wanted to leave her side from that day and since then we've been inseparable.
