RODA is a small resort. Whilst not being Monte Carlo, it more than makes up for it with stunning sunsets, the beach and sea are lovely and the people are warm and friendly. We hope you enjoy your stay. Here are a few pointers: 1. MOSQUITOES Can be a problem in Corfu. Bring good insect repellent, bite relief and plug-ins for your room. These are also available in the supermarkets and the pharmacy. Close your windows and doors after 6pm to keep mosquitoes out. 2. AIRCON Is NOT included at some establishments in the basic cost, and ROOM TAX may not have been included. It is best to check on the website or with the proprietor before booking. 3. TOILET PAPER. Don’t flush it down the toilet, this blocks the plumbing. A bin will have been provided near the toilet to put your used toilet paper in. 4. SHOWERS In some establishments the shower set up is a bit basic and takes the term “Wet Room” to a whole new level. There are drains in the floor to get rid of the excess water. It’s all part of the experience! 5. SUNBEDS AND POOLS You can use most establishments’ sunbeds and pools if you purchase food or drink from them. Just ask the proprietor if you are unsure. 6. CARDS & CASH Are both accepted at most establishments. Cash is preferred for smaller purchases. There are plenty of ATMs around Roda. 7. PATHWAYS and roads are not always well paved. Use your phone torch or carry a torch at night. 8. PHARMACY There is an excellent one at the crossroads. Ask there before using the medical centre, unless it’s an emergency. Your accommodation owners will have numbers for a doctor if needed.

Preferably casual but smart, but we want you to enjoy this day with us, so just be comfortable. For men, lightweight trousers and cool shirts, no jackets required. For the ladies, your favourite summer dress or separates. There are no colour restrictions. Wear any colour you like, including white if you fancy it. You may wish to bring flip flops to the ceremony, as it’s on the beach. Bring a fan to keep cool and a hat if you burn easily (or just fancy wearing a hat).
No need for gifts, we have everything we need. It’s already very generous of you to come out to Roda to share this day with us. Your gift to us is your presence.
Not at all! We are aware that this invitation comes at short notice and that coming to Corfu, just for a wedding, is a major undertaking. We know that you may already have other commitments, so, as much as we would love to see you there, we fully understand if you can’t make it. The good news is that we will be having a civil ceremony back in Manchester and a celebration to follow, so hopefully you can join us there!
As soon as possible, please, so that we can work out numbers for seats and for catering. Also, when you reply, please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.
