Let's Talk Travel: Flying to Portugal: Fly into Lisbon and navigate from there. The wedding is in Golega, which is 1.5 hours from Lisbon. Our recommendation is to stay either in Santarem or Golega. 2 City Options for Accommodations (We've listed hotel and inn suggestions below): 1) Santarem- (Where we will be staying) A larger city about 35 minutes from Golega. There will be more options for hotels and entertainment. There is a train that will take you to Golega for the wedding. 2) Golega- The small village where the wedding is. There are fewer options for entertainment, but there is a very nice hotel within walking distance of the venue. Besides the listed hotels below, you can also find VRBO or AirBnb options. Getting to Santarem or Golega from Lisbon: Our recommendation is to take the 1-hour train from Lisbon to Santarem or 1 hour 20 min train from Lisbon to the Riachos stop and Uber to your hotel (9 mins away from Golega). The train info is listed below.

Transportation: A bus will take guests from Santarem to the wedding in Golegã. Departure: 2:15 PM from Largo do Infante Santo in front of Jardim da Republica, Santarem. Please arrive by 2 PM. (39°14'18.9"N 8°41'10.6"W) Return to Santarem: Buses at 11 PM and 1 AM. RSVP: Please reach out if you’ll be taking the bus.

Lisbon Airport (Humberto Delgado Airport)

This is the best place to fly into and then navigate from there.

Estação do Oriente

This is the train that takes you out to Santarem or Golega. Depending on where you are staying in Lisbon you will need to take the subway or taxi to get to the Estação do Oriente station.
