When should we arrive?

Answer

Most guests are arriving Friday, October 18th and leaving Tuesday, October 22nd. Please arrive to the ceremony at 3:30pm, 30 minutes before it begins. This will allow everyone to get settled so that we can begin on time.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you were given a plus one, it will be noted on the official invite and RSVP, and will be addressed to your name & guest. Due to limited capacity, we unfortunately cannot accommodate anyone not named on your invitation.

What are the transportation options from the airport?

Answer

Renting a car is the most convenient way to reach Kiawah Island. Websites like www.rentalcars.com offer a variety of vehicles available for airport pickup. Having a rental car allows you the freedom to explore the island at your own pace and take day trips to nearby attractions such as Charleston and the 400 year old Angel Oak tree on Johns Island. When you are arranging your rideshare, a great tip is to check both apps (Uber and Lyft) as the prices can vary drastically. When you’re ready to return to the airport, you can also arrange a private car service such as Island Transport.

Where should we park?

Answer

The Sandcastle has a large parking lot in the front. We also encourage people to walk, bike, and carpool, as most people have lodging very close to the venue!

What's the weather like in October?

Answer

While we can’t predict exactly what the weather will be, October is the sweet spot and the best time to visit for great weather and fewer crowds. Temperatures range from the mid-50s to high 70s. Our venue is ocean front so be prepared for a beach breeze!

Where should I stay?

Answer

We highly recommend staying on the island and booking a villa or home. Especially if booked as a group with family or friends, it is the best bang for your buck. There are several options on our travel page!
