Our Story

First comes friendship, then comes love

We met at a house party in Sioux Falls. He noticed me right away. I was completely unaware. We became good friends, Best friends over time. Everyone around us knew he had feelings for me and i was completely oblivious always stating they were wrong that we were just friends. Santino would come over to the apartment i shared with our friend Kristin and wait for me to get home for the day. If i would hang out he would stay; If i went to my room for the night he would leave right away. Eventually I finally saw he had feelings and I had come to realize i had feeling for him as well. He took a chance and asked me out on a date. We have been together since. So many adventures. Through different cities to different jobs. From Moving across the country to starting a family. This is our story and its our favorite one!

How he popped the question.

Her side: We decided to do some venturing at Balboa garden park; which is a group of museums. In the middle is a huge japanese garden and we decied to walk down to look at the waterfalls. We found this little beaten path that led to a bench by a small waterfall. I took my sun hat off to play with our new camera an noticed there was a bigger waterfall down the stream. I asked him if we could head down there and went to pick up my hat. He had hidden the ring under my hat while i was messing with the camera. I turned around and he was waiting on one knee.. he nervously said “i wanted to take you somewhere just as beautiful as you are to me, i want to spend the rest of my life with you and a day, will you marry me?” and well the rest is history ❤️ His side: It was our 3rd day in our two week vacation and I wanted to bring her to somewhere beautiful. I brought her to Balboa Gardens so we can spend the day in nature. We found a place absolutely gorgeous so what better place to go down on one knee than to do it in the Japanese Gardens. As she was playing with our new camera.. I slipped the ring under her hat and waited. As she was putting on her sun hat, I was on one knee ready for her. And I quote "I wanted to bring you somewhere just as beautiful as you are to me. I want to spend the rest of life with you and a day. Will you marry me?" And the rest is history.
