The first time I met Lindsay was in geometry class where she would always kick the back of my chair to wake me up. She was looking out for me even before she knew anything about me. Little did either of us know that we would end up here. We became inseparable senior year of high school, she was the most beautiful prom date a guy could ask for. College has a bad way of separating people, even us. After her years of college and my years of military service, a fateful message was sent between each other. After that message we began talking every day as if we did not spend 7 years not saying a word to each other. At that moment I knew that this was the same wonderful woman that I fell in love with in high school. We moved into our apartment earlier than most would have thought and left many people wondering if it would last. Well, after a global pandemic had us locked inside our apartment together spending 24 hours a day together would give us a good idea if we were going to last. I can say that we knew after the first few weeks that this was going to be a lifetime of love and happiness. On August 30th 2021, I asked my best friend and now fiancé to marry me. She said yes in front of both our parents, my brothers, my grandparents and special guest my cousin Katrina. Her thought as I sprinted down the driveway to get in position to propose was "this idiot has to poop doesn't he?" What a thought to have right before you get engaged. From waking up the sleeping kid in geometry class to getting married to that same person. We both definitely came a long way and can't wait to get married in front of all of our friends and family.
