WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!

We met at Grace Lutheran Church, a church Matt attended since childhood and a church Briana discovered in 2017. Briana went to the 9:00am service while Matt attended the 11:00am service. They met when Briana decided to join the "Grace Alive" band that played at the 11:00am service each week. When they had their first conversation, Matthew proclaimed that he cycled 65 miles for a charity and Briana shared she was training for the Disney Princess Marathon. Since then, Matthew completed a 30 mile cycling race and Briana never completed more than a 5K. (Dreams they still hope to achieve some day).

They waited a week before getting each other's phone numbers and from then they were inseparable. Matthew visited Briana's apartment for the first time the Tuesday after they exchanged numbers. Since then, they spent A LOT of time together.

Our first date consisted of dressing up fancy, snacking at Chipotle, going to the CSO to see Mozart's Requiem and an AWFUL modern piece we still laugh about to this day. We had our first date dinner at Prime where Matt treated Briana to a fancy steak dinner with Creme Brulee (Briana's first time trying it!) and Key Lime Pie!

After several months of flirting, Matthew and Briana became official! <3 They hung out for 6 months and several people in both their lives wondered why they weren't dating yet.....

Briana and Matt spent a lot of time together during the pandemic. Matt stayed with Briana when his dad was sick with COVID. Their relationship grew over the year and they celebrated a year together in February 2020.

So after months of discussion, Matthew and Briana decided to move in together. They signed a contract with Ryan homes. Ryan homes built their house from the ground up and Briana and Matt were part of the whole process!

With the help of family and friends, Briana and Matt moved in together!

After reaching out to a breeder a year prior, we were surprised to hear we could get our little German Shepherd puppy six months earlier than we asked since someone backed out of wanting a puppy. We couldn't say yes fast enough. Heidi came home with us and slept the whole ride home.

What more is there to say? We got engaged and naturally, Heidi played with her squeaky ball during the whole proposal......
