Question

How long should I stay?

Answer

The Bride's family is planning on staying from the 13th to the 20th of January so they have some time to prepare for the wedding. Since you'll be a guest, please feel free to come and go whenever you like. As long as you're in Kauai on the 17th, you're good.

Question

Do you have to wear Indian attire?

Answer

No. We would like you to wear whatever you will be comfortable in. A few of the ladies will be wearing saris and the bride a lehengha choli, but it's not required.

Question

Food options - land, sea, plant, keike. What's the difference?

Answer

Land will be Hawaiian pork, sea will also be a Hawaiian delicacy, Mahi Mahi, and plant will be tofu. Our keiki option is for children.

Question

Bhangra?! I don't know how to go 'balle balle'! Will I still be able to dance?

Answer

Yes! Indian music has a really catchy beat and you'll find yourself moving to the music without even realizing it! Don't worry, we will be playing some Dead and Phish -- can't forget Forrest's culture.

Question

What is an Indian Wedding Ceremony?

Answer

Please refer to the infographics that you can grab when you enter the wedding venue. The ceremonies are explained in layman terms mixed with some light humor. Enjoy!
