Gorgeous park with epic mountain scenery, alpine lakes, and opportunities to see moose, elk, bighorn sheep, pikas, birds, and wildflowers. There are over 300 miles of trails and options for every level of fitness. You must have an entrance pass, and they are timed because of the popularity of the park so book yours early! https://www.nps.gov/romo/planyourvisit/fees.htm. The park is easy to navigate by car, or consider using the shuttle as well as guided tours of the park and geocaching (check out RMconservancy.org).
We love taking our friends to this hotel whenever they come visit, it's just a gorgeous historical building that hosts ghost tours, magic shows, as well as has rooms to stay at. They also have excellent cocktails and views to die for. Stephen King can attest to this. :)
Inside the village, you can stroll the Riverwalk, cast a line in Fall River, or make a stop for ice cream. Peaks rise all around, from 8,500 feet to more than 14,000 feet, rendering gorgeous views in every direction. In the warmer months, head to one of many nearby patios to enjoy those panoramas, plus good food and a locally-made bottle of wine. When the temperatures drop, move indoors, tucking into a table near a roaring fire to savor wild game, delicious ethnic dishes or maybe a hearty steak.
