Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Alexis Smith and Samuel Whatley
We encourage you to take the weekend to explore and support this beautiful place where Samuel grew up. Columbia (20 minutes south of our venue) is where Samuel was raised, so here are a few of the local highlights!

Hiking Trails and Parks!!

We adore the outdoors--especially in Middle TN. If you are wanting to make a weekend trip in one of the most beautiful parts of the country, there are countless trails and hikes that the Whatley family would love to suggest you explore!

Muletown Coffee Roasters

23 Public Square, Columbia, TN 38401

Samuel basically lived here in high school; it's one of the epicenters of Columbia (aka Muletown) culture.

Farmstead Cellar

803 South Main Street, Columbia, TN 38401

Farmstead Cellar is ironically located above (not below) Farmstead Market; it's a great local vintage winery owned and operated by dear family friends!

Yanahli Park

922 Iron Bridge Road, Columbia, TN 38401

Yanahli Park has both paved and gravel paths just 5 minutes from downtown Columbia, and plenty of woodlands to explore off-trail.

Mama Mila's Italian Restaurant

1200 South Garden Street, Columbia, TN 38401

Mama Mila's is an authentic Italian eatery in the Columbia Arts District. Bringing your own bottle of wine (or two) is encouraged. Bonus: it is one of the few Gluten Free restaurants in Columbia. :)

Red 7 Pizza Co.

319 West 7th Street, Columbia, TN 38401

Samuel's dog Finn once left the house and was found at Red 7 building his own personal sized pizza.

Higher Pursuits Kayak and Canoe Rental

3114 Cheeks Bend Road, Columbia, TN 38401

If the Tennessee weather is beckoning you outside, grab a kayak or canoe from Higher Pursuits and paddle down a beautiful route on America's most biodiverse river.

Bradley Mountain Coffee

1202 South Garden Street, Columbia, TN 38401

A short walk from Samuel's house, Bradley Mountain is a very cool spot for coffee, craft beer, or lunch in the Columbia Arts District.

Buck & Board

100 West 5th Street, Columbia, TN 38401

Nestled just across the river from Riverwalk Park in downtown Columbia, Buck & Board offers an incredible selection of brunch foods and charcuterie.

Duck River Books

12 Public Square, Columbia, TN 38401

After getting your fill at one of the many eateries in Columbia's downtown, stop by and peruse through James and Heather's well-curated book shop.

For all the days along the way
