We both swiped right in August 2017, but didn't manage to meet up for two months. When we finally had our first date, it was really more like 3 dates rolled into one! We got gelato and walked around DC, followed by nachos and margaritas, and then Jimmy walked Sammy home because it was a beautiful night. We both knew that the other was someone special because of how easily we connected and the rest, as they say, is history!
As most of you know, when Sammy doesn't want to go somewhere, she just won't go. Unfortunately for Jimmy, that is exactly what happened the night he planned to propose. We had plans to go to a nice dinner, and Jimmy had arranged for a photographer to surprise us at a romantic location nearby for the proposal. After a long day at work, Sammy canceled the date and insisted on ordering pizza and watching a movie. Jimmy frantically texted the photographer and persuaded Sammy to go on a walk in the gardens by our home. The photographer scoped out a location and when we got there Jimmy popped the question (and Sammy said yes)!
