Sam & I met at a Christ for the Nations internship in Dallas, Texas back in the summer of 2014. Over the few weeks we were at the internship, we became good friends. We kept in touch over the years, and even visited a couple of times before ever mentioning dating. While we both liked one another, 1,000 miles made it seem nearly impossible to date. So we continued to keep the thought buried. We consistently stayed in touch, then one day we decided it would be fun for him to visit my hometown. He drove down overnight (without stopping to sleep at all), and stayed in OK for a week. This is the week we both realized we were willing to give the long distance a shot despite the odds. He asked me to be his girlfriend before he went back to Minnesota. It has now been over two years since we began dating, and we are so excited to be planning our wedding!
