While Sam and Logan have technically known each other since elementary school, they were never in the same social circles. It was not until the summer of 2020 when Sam was hanging out with her friend (Elijah, Groomsman) then she invited her other friend over (Jake, Best Man) to play beer pong and Jake ended up dragging Logan along (Logan did not want to come). When Logan arrived, Sam thought "Wow, that is a handsome guy" and, after that night, Sam made it her mission to add him on snapchat and hangout with him. After having their first date at Short or Tall and about a month of dates later, Logan asked Sam to be his girlfriend while they were river tubing in Wisconsin. What a love story.

​While on a trip to San Diego, Sam had a feeling that Logan might propose and made a joke trying to trick him into telling her, but it back fired, and she was convinced it was now not actually going to happen. On the night of the proposal, Sam gave Logan lots of anxiety because she almost found the ring a few times, but by the grace of god, she had no clue. Finally, before dessert, Logan got down on one knee and said "You're just too damn smart" and then proposed. Sam was in shock and could not believe what was going on and how the whole restaurant was in on it. The best surprise of Sam's life and the most anxiety-filled day of Logan's.
