We're getting married

SAMMI: In May 2016, Colin and I met for our first date at what would become one of our favorite Austin bars, Easy Tiger. Naturally, I arrived at our date on time and Colin showed up 20 minutes late! I almost left, but something told me I should stay. When Colin finally arrived, I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He had a hearty laugh and warm smile that drew you in close. Intellectual conversation flowed as we sipped on drinks. Colin really clinched the deal when he ordered us food, and continued to add on cheesy item (pretzel w/ beer cheese) after cheesy item (side of gouda cheese)! I knew he had the potential to be both my intellectual and foodie soulmate <3. My intuition did not lead me astray. Fast forward almost three years later and we bought a house, got engaged, traveled through Europe, and adopted another cat to make a crazy household of 6 beings! Not to mention we continue to enjoy the same things that brought us together: a love of learning, self-reflection, goofy antics, animals, and FOOD! COLIN: When I walked into Easy Tiger, the first thing I noticed about Sammi was her beautiful smile. I was running late for our date (punctuality being a weakness of mine), and knew I had some work to do to make up for my poor timing. I'm glad she didnt dismiss me for that slip because now all these years later I can't believe how lucky I am to have such an amazing woman in my life! Sammi balances out my weak points and is always there giving me the love and support that I need to get through the hard times. Already after these three years together, we have built so many memories- and I cant wait to build more. From our rambunctious pets (small zoo status) to our shared love of all things food and intellect-centric, I am so grateful to be marrying such a special person!
