On a cold February night, Lindsay joined a group of girlfriends for drinks and dancing at their favorite Irish pub, O’Dowds. While the group ordered drinks and settled at a table, Lindsay found herself staring at a very eccentric, blonde-haired, blue-eyed boy who was dancing solo on the dance floor. She had never seen a male move with such confidence and commitment to the music, at least not since Footloose or Flashdance. He was visually bringing joy, laughter, and mild concern to everyone at the bar, especially Lindsay. Many are not fortunate enough to experience love at first sight; however, when Lindsay watched Sam dance solo to T-Pain’s “Bartender,” her life was forever changed. Lindsay boldly approached Sam on the dance floor and they spent the remainder of the night dancing, drinking, and laughing until closing time. Now, more than six years later, they are so excited to celebrate their marriage with family and friends! Due to the ongoing pandemic, Sam and Lindsay spent Christmas 2020 at home, just the two of them and the dogs. Lindsay woke up on Christmas morning to French toast, biscuits and gravy, and Sam dancing in the kitchen. Sam told Lindsay that his niece, Ella, had created a festive holiday video for them to watch before they Facetimed his family. But in reality, what Lindsay was about to watch was a video compilation Sam created of each niece and nephew (11 total) wishing the couple a “Merry Christmas” and sharing how they missed and loved them. During the last 10 seconds of the video, their niece, Maya, said, “Lindsay, Sam has a big question for you...” It was perfect.
