Polar Caves were formed during the last Ice Age when a glacier moved across the landscape, dropping granite boulders at the base of what’s now known as Hawk’s Cliff. As they fell, the boulders formed passageways, around and through which, they have built boardwalks and stairs to allow for deeper exploration. You can also explore inside the granite caves.

Smith Covered Bridge was built in 1850 and is listed in the World Guide of Covered Bridges (WGCB), number 29-05-10, and is New Hampshire covered bridge #44. The Smith Bridge was destroyed by fire on April 16, 1993 and was rebuilt as a covered bridge.
