FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Our suggested attire is semi-formal/formal. We kindly ask that no one wears jeans or shorts. The weather in October can range from 70s to lower 40s. All events will be indoors. Bridesmaids will be wearing dusty blue!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 pm. Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to give yourself time to park and be seated comfortably.

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception: There are parking lots accessible off of Clinton Street and Lewis Street. Signs will indicate "Cathedral Parking Only." Metered street parking may be available. Parking garage connected to the Hilton and across from Cathedral has $15 self parking and may be used for both Ceremony & Reception. Freemasons Hall: There is free parking available in the lot beside the building, at the corner of E Washington Boulevard and S Clinton Street. You may use this lot as a "first come, first served" basis for the reception. Please do not park in the YMCA lot off S Bar Street! If the lot is full upon your arrival, there is a parking garage located at 100 E Washington Blvd (just a crosswalk away!) with $15 self-parking.

Question

Where will I sit at the ceremony/reception?

Answer

You will be ushered to a seat for the ceremony in the Cathedral. For the reception, there will be a seating chart with names listed alphabetically and you will find your corresponding table number.

Question

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party & family will be taking photos. We encourage you to explore Fort Wayne during this time! Check out our "Things to Do" tab for our best suggestions!

Question

Can I bring a date/guest?

Answer

If you received a plus one, it will kindly say so on the invitation and will appear under your name when you RSVP. Otherwise, we would love to keep our wedding as intimate as possible with close friends and family.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony is in the Catholic Church and we are requesting that no phones or cameras are used during Mass. We have a professional photographer and videographer to capture the beauty of our union. You are absolutely welcome to capture as many moments on your phone at the reception!

Question

What can I expect to eat/drink?

Answer

We will have limited vegetarian and GF selections. There will be an open bar :) Please drink responsibly and have a ride arranged if you will be drinking!
