Yes, you will need a Bali tourist B1-visa. We highly recommend applying 1-2 weeks before your departure date. Please use this link to apply for your e-visa so you can use the e-gates: https://evisa.imigrasi.go.id/ You will need to fill out the following customs declaration form: https://ecd.beacukai.go.id/ and take a screenshot of the associated barcode. You will also need to fill out the Satusehat Health Pass prior to check-in: https://sshp.kemkes.go.id/ and take a screenshot of the associated barcode. You can also get your visa on arrival upon landing in Bali if you do not get one in advance, but completing these items online before your trip will allow you to get out of the airport much faster (think Global Entry).
There are two main ride-sharing applications in Bali – Go-jek and Grab. You can download the app on your phone. These options are typically cheaper than taxis as well. We personally used Gojek and rides were available to pick us up within 5 min. The cost of a 1 hour ride was only $8 USD!
For large groups, Airbnb is an excellent option with many beautiful homes and villas. We highly recommend getting a place nearby the wedding venue (Wonderland Uluwatu) or near Uluwatu Cottages.
Some great restaurants we recommend are: Mana Uluwatu The Cave Uluwatu The Cashew Tree Lolas Uluwatu Malini Suka Espresso Alchemy Nourish Ours Cafe El Kabron Baked
It is advisable to drink bottled water to avoid potential health issues. Most hotels and restaurants provide safe drinking water.
We purchased the Soffell mosquito repellant there and it works wonders with a nice scent! Highly recommend this product over any other bug spray.
