It all began in 2003 when Josh and Kat met each other at AMC 20. For 2 years, their love blossomed over instant messenger and Xanga. Summer before Junior year they decided to part ways because they had some growing up to do! Over the years, they remained in touch for "Happy Birthdays" and "Congrats!" Both of them moved out of state to chase their dreams but somehow ended up back in Kansas City. On July 3rd, 2017, both Kat and Josh happened to be in Waldo. Even though Kat avoided him and his friends, Josh was feeling good so he came up to Kat and her friend Allie at the bar at Lews. A few hours of catching up and a couple drinks later, Kat decided to head home and their convo continued over text. Josh asked Kat out and their first date was at Teocali and then they saw the Stolen Winnebago's at the Levee. They have been inseparable ever since! It's amazing how 14 years apart can bring two people together. Skip forward to April 6th, 2019, Josh decided it was time to put a ring on it! Whitney (Josh's Sister) and Michael (her Boyfriend) joined Kat and Josh at the Four Horses & a Dog Winery to use a Groupon! The weather could not have been more perfect and Josh wanted to take a walk through the vineyard. Once he had Kat out far enough, he got down on one knee. Luckily, Whitney and Michael caught the whole thing on video! Gushing with love and giddiness, Kat was excited to tell friends and family. Little did she know, Josh had planned an entire Surprise Engagement Party at Lews- In Waldo- where it all began! Family and friends came from near and far to celebrate.
