Ryan, Raj, and Raj's wife Delia moved to the Kansas City metro area together and have been roommates ever since.

While having met not long ago, Delia has become one of Sam's greatest friends, and one of the first true friends she has made since moving to Kansas City. They have found that they have too many similarities to not consider this a friendship.

Matt is another best friend of Ryan. They met while working together at the University of Iowa Hospital. Ryan and Matt quickly bonded over their shared love for the Chiefs, Call of Duty, and Star Wars.

Another best friend of Sam. They met during undergrad at UMass Boston. These two personalities hit it off with their wit and humor, and while having gone separate ways, have come back and plan on never leaving again.

Ryan and Taylor also worked at the University of Iowa Hospital together. Taylor served in the Marines, so he and Ryan quickly bonded over which flavor of Crayon was the best.

Sam met Maria on her first day at work after moving to the new city, who was the first person to welcome Sam with open arms. The newfound appreciation and love for each other has only solidified that this is a friendship that will last through the nursing home that they will probably be roommates for.
