Their love story began at Chapelwood UMC. LM Wilson was its mastermind. She made a plan to introduce Sabrina and Tyler very shortly after Tyler started at Chapelwood. On December 21, 2017, Sabrina drove up to Chapelwood on her lunch break for the two to meet. At first, they sat there awkwardly as he tried to choke down his nerves with HEB sushi and they were both stared at by the entire Children’s Ministry staff. It wasn’t long before genuine conversation began between the two and lasted through a tour of the whole church and for an hour after. Finally, she had to leave to return to work after her 3 hour lunch break. They spoke over the next few days until Christmas Eve came. She was leaving on Christmas to visit family in Kentucky so this was their only chance to see each other until the New Year. Tyler asked Sabrina if she would be interested in having lunch and she quickly agreed. They met in Sugar Land and lunch turned into hours walking and talking until she had to return to work. As they left the date both immediately called home to tell their families they had met someone truly special... The next eight months flew by in blur until they started talking about marriage. What was once simply a concept became quickly real as they, completely by accident, discussed marriage and proposal and actually set a prospective date one night out of the blue. As they discussed plans and looked for a ring the time got closer and closer. On September 8th, a day like any other, they spent the day together. As they were in Sugar Land for the day a walk at Oyster Creek Park was suggested for the evening. The walk did not last very long before Tyler got down on one knee and asked Sabrina to marry him. He barely made it to “will you marr...” before she exclaimed “YES!” They immediately started planning the wedding and can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together.
