Here's a list of some of our favorite places in the area.
The Maker Cafe

The Maker Cafe

One of our favorite places in town - owned by an old friend. Inspired by cafes in Paris and Vienna, the café is open for breakfast and lunch and serves a variety of pastries and breads made daily. Pop in for your morning coffee or stop by for a snack while exploring Warren Street

Grazin' Diner

Grazin' Diner

One of our favorite places to pop into for a quick bite on trips up to the farm. Our order is usually the Veggie (quite possibly the best veggie burger I have ever had) and the Dude. I think you know who's favorite is which.

Olana State Historic Site

Olana State Historic Site

New York 9G, Hudson, NY 12534
, (518) 828-1872

As you cross the Rip Van Winkle Bridge you'll notice a large estate at the top of the hill overlooking the Hudson River. This is Olana. Frederic Church is well-known as a painter, but he was also a world traveller and a self-taught architect, farmer and landscape designer. Though Frederic and Isabel Church moved among New York City’s cultural tastemakers, Olana was their primary home. New York State Parks are open. Access to Olana’s 250-acre landscape is free. The park is open every day from 8 AM to sunset. We encourage you to explore Frederic Church’s designed landscape with five miles of carriage roads as a way to enjoy the outdoors. All tour participants are required to: Wear a mask covering the mouth and nose during the tour & maintain social distance (six feet) at all times. Please note: The Main House is currently closed. The upper parking lot is currently at limited capacity due to construction. If the lot is full, you may park on the right side only of the main road.
